Happy Hare

Can't fault the place at all. We had a perfectly relaxing 5 night stay at the Happy Hare. The views were incredible and the remote location was just what we were looking for. Only about a 10 min drive to Buxton where lots of nice places to eat. Plenty to do near by. Brilliant stay we will definitely be back.

Beautiful place to stay. Peaceful and tranquil with amazing views, perfect to get away from it all. Lovely room, helpful owners. Easy access to local pubs and good restaurants only 10min drive. Will absolutely visit again.

Perfect from start to finish

Perfect from start to finish. Cosy but amazing size for couples. The view is outstanding and better than my normal view. Will be recommending, easy parking, cute lambs and incredibly scenic views

This was perfect for an overnight stay

This was perfect for an overnight stay (we were on our way to a funeral the next day) . The location is outstanding and we had our breakfast outside admiring the view on the picnic tables provided in the gorgeous sunshine. The accommodation is compact with everything you need and spotlessly clean. We would certainly return when we are up that way next. Dinner at The Trout was excellent but booking is essential. There are walks directly from the farm If you are feeling energetic, but if not a short climb (a minute or so!) will give you more fabulous views to enjoy.

Perfect location for exploring the beautiful peak district!

An absolutely perfect location for exploring the beautiful peak district! The place was lovely and clean, and had everything needed for a few days away! The bed was extremely comfy, and there were DVDs provided which kept us occupied after long days cycling and walking! We recommend ye olde trout for dinner as it is only a 5 min drive away and good value food! Also, the roaches tea rooms is a lovely place to have a lunch, which is right next to me olde trout! The only thing we would say is that the wifi was not really usable, but this may have been a temporary problem at the time, and as we were there to explore it wasn't too much of an issue! This is an excellent value place to stay, and we'd definitely recommend!!

We'll be back!

We had only one night at the bouncy badger but I wish we'd had more, it's in such a beautiful place with so much to do around there. We've had a great time and it was so cosy and comfortable, incredibly clean and convenient, a prefect little base to walk and explore from. Really helpful when we sent emails asking quotations at always for a really helpful response. All round lovely. We'll be back!
